In 1983, Mike Regan, a single entrepreneur just out of college, laid the foundation of Pacific Green Landscape (PGL). Starting as a one-person operation, Mike dedicated himself to the company, often working grueling 12-hour days and using his garage as his office. PGL's 40-year journey has been marked by tremendous growth and success. Today, with a team of 200 employees, a fleet of over 100 trucks, and a loyal client base of more than 300, PGL has become a prominent landscaping company serving all of San Diego County.

At the core of PGL's success are the values that Mike instilled from the beginning. Hard work and determination have been the driving forces behind the company's growth and unwavering commitment to excellence. 1983

Pacific Green Landscape was founded by Mike Regan, a young and aspiring entrepreneur. After graduating from high school, Mike attended Cuyamaca college and then Cal Poly San Luis Obispo studying horticulture. When he returned to San Diego in the summer of 1983, he founded Pacific Green Landscape. Operating as a one-person show in the early years, Mike juggled jobs during the day and managed paperwork and billing at night to successfully establish and grow the company.

1984

Rapid growth lead to the expansion of Pacific Green Landscape, with the team growing to four dedicated employees. The company's commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction fuels its progress.

Fall 1984

In the pre-cellphone era, effective communication between crews and clients posed challenges. Mike, an early adopter of cell phone technology, utilized a bulky device resembling a box with wires, enabling efficient contact with crews through radio communication, and enhancing customer service and project updates.
