Story of Mark Mazalewski:
As a young child, Mark grew up in the Landscape Industry. He is a 3rd generation within the Green Industry, as his grandfather and father both have owned nursery companies within San Diego County starting as early as the1950's. Mark has worked for his family company and other landscape companies during his adolescence and then he was off to college at Pennsylvania State University, most commonly referred to as Penn State. Mark graduated in 2007 with a degree in Landscape Contracting with a specialization in Landscape Management. Penn State's Landscape Contracting degree program is known as one of the top programs of its kind in the country, which combines an emphasis on the science of plants with creative design and planning. With Mark's focus in Landscape Management, it has given him the experience needed as a landscape professional.
Mark recently joined Pacific Green Landscape, Inc. as a Project Manager, with over 8 years of working experience in the landscape industry. In addition to managing a small portfolio of maintenance accounts; Mark manages, coordinates and monitors the performance and quality of our construction crews, manages all irrigation and water technicians and coordinates operation's special projects. Mark enjoys the Green industry and loves helping people. When asked what his motto was, he said, "Use your vision, not your sight. It's about long term health of the landscape... 20 years down the road and not just immediate results. By not having a long term vision, it not only wastes money, but precious resources."
After Mark graduated, he spent a little over a month backpacking through Central America. Therefore in Mark's free time, he enjoys traveling and has visited various places including French Polynesia, Thailand, Mexico & various parts of Europe. He also enjoys snowboarding and shooting black and white photography.
We are pleased to have Mark as part of the Pacific Green Landscape Team!
